I recently had the privilege of acquiring a collection of vintage tools from a seasoned builder in Southland. These tools are a testament to the era of skilled craftsmanship and camaraderie that once defined the building trade.

As the original owner’s story comes to an end, I’ve become the lucky new custodian of these well-worn, yet meticulously cared for tools of the trade. Each hammer, chisel, and plane carries with it the history of countless projects and the pride of a job well done.

These tools aren’t just functional they represent a bygone era when quality workmanship and shared knowledge were the hallmarks of the building community.
